CALM AMID THE STORM

CALM AMID THE STORM
I AM FACING ONE OF THE HADEST TIMES OF MY LIFE.
MY DEAR DADDY ART IS NEAR THE END OF HIS LIFE. SINCE HE IS ALMOST TOTALLY BLIND AND CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING MUCHMY HEART BREAKS FOR HIM AND MY MOTHER.
I AM PRAYING NOW THAT HEAVENLY FATHER TAKES HIM HOME SOON. HE IS REALLY SUFFERING WITH THE NEW PROBLEM HE HAS AND IS GOING TO HAVE TO HAVE A GROWTH REMOVED AND HE MAY NOT SURVIVE THE SURGERY. SO PRAY FOR HIS REALESE OF THE PAIN AND SUFFERING.
HE AND MY MOTHER HAVE HAD THE LOVE OF A LIFE TIME AND SO THEY ARE BLESSED.
MY DEAR MOTHER IS ALO SUFFERING. sHE IS STILL TRYIBNG TO HELP HIM AND SO HAS WORN HERSELF DOWN. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER TOO.
THEY SAY DEATH IS THE ULTIMATE REJECTION AND. iTS VERY HARD TO BE THE ONE LEFT BEHIND.
DADDY ART IS THE KINDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER KNOWN. HE SAW ALL THREE OF US WALKER KIDS THROUGH THE TEENAGE YEARS AND LOVED US ALL WITH HIS WHOLE HEART. HIS HEART WAS SO BIG HE TOOK US IN AND HAD LOTS OF LOVE FOR HIS SALLY DEE AND DEAR JANINE.
MY HEART IS DOUBLE BREAKING BECAUSE MY MOTHER HAS ASKED ME NOT TO COME TO SAY GOOD BY OR TO BE THERE IF HE HE IS CALLED HOME.
HONOR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER
AND IT DOESN'T SAY ANY IFS
SO I PRAY FOR THE STRENGTH TO GO THROUGH THIS TRIAL AND FIND PEACE AND CALM
I PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS FOR ALL THE PAIN WE GIVE EACH OTHER.
GRANDMA MARILYN

I wish I could run up the road to Utah and be there for you right now. But, another big snow storm moved in over night and it wouldn't be safe to drive up there. But, we are there with you in heart.
I know this is a tough time for you, as well as for Grandma and Grandpa. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. I hope that Grandpa will not have to suffer through too much more. I know it is so hard for Grandma to be so close and feel so helpless.

We love all of you so much! Let us know if there is anything that we can do to offer our support to you or to Grandma and Grandpa.

Love, Earlene, Scott and Julia

Grandma-

It was good to talk to you tonight.
I'm glad we have these blogs to share our thoughts on. Please know that you and Great Grandma and Grandpa Lusk are in our prayers this week. We are so blessed to have the gospel and the knowledge of the plan of salvation (Alli calls it the Happy Plan).

We love you very very much!

I'm glad that Jed remembered to mention the plan of salvation. It is sad when someone dies, but we are so lucky to have the knowledge and the assurance that death is such a temporary separation. It isn't good-bye and it isn't permanent.

It is so hard to see our loved ones suffer and we pray for their relief and hope that we can be strong enough to put their relief above our own need to hang on to them.

Grief, too, is such a personal process. There are bound to be conflicts in what you need to do to grieve and what other people need to do. Hopefully we can all love each other enough to support each other in how we grieve. I know it is hard.

We love you lots and keep you in our prayers. Love, Charlotte and Brian

Our thoughts and prayers are with Grandpa and Grandma today, as he goes through his surgery. May the Lord grant peace of mind to all. Let us know when you hear from Grandma. We will be anxious to hear how things go.

Much love,
Earlene, Scott and Julia

I'm sorry to hear that it's such a tough time for you right now. We have been keeping you, and Grandma and Grandpa in our prayers and thoughts. As it's been said by others - grief is such a personal process, and I hope and pray that you will be able to find the peace needed through the process.

We love you!

Love, Joanna
