PET PEEVE - THE PLETHORA OF PAPER

JUST CLEARED OUT THE WEEKENDS CLUTTER OF PAPER. UGH!!\WHAT A WASTE ! AT LEAST IT IS BIO-DEGRADABLE.
IN OREGON ONE OF THE BIGGEST PAPER CO. 'S GROWS A VERY QUICK GROWING TREE THAT IN TWO YEARS CAN BE HARVESTED FOR PAPER. SAVING OLD GROWTH TREES
PLEASE STOP ALL CATALOGS THAT ARE NOT ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. THE RAIN FORREST'S IN BRAZIL ARE BEING USED UP TO MAKE PAPER FOR CATALOGS.
FOR OUR MENTAL HEALTH WE NEED TO VIEW AS LITTLE NEWS AS POSSIBLE AND STILL BE INFORMED. AVOID REPEATS ,ESPECIALLY THOSE RECOUNTING THE DISASTERS OVER AND OVER.
ANOTHER CHALLENGE FOR 2008
USE OUR TIME WISELY. BE AWARE OF HOW MUCH TIME TV E-MAIL ETC CAN USE UP OUR TIME. lets NOT SQUANDER THE TIME FATHER IN HEAVEN HAS GIVEN US
AS GABE SAYS HAVE A HAPPY NUDE YEAR!!
LOVE GRANDMA MARILYN

I try to keep my personal paper consumption down to save the trees.

We also work in graphic design to choose papers for our projects that have more post consumer fibers, and more recycled content. The FSC can also certify that papers are green papers, and I try to use those as often as possible (though they are more expensive at times.)

Have a great New Year Grandma-

Great advice once again Grandma! It makes me crazy with how much mail we get - especially for our business. And a lot of times we get the same junk mail from our business address AND our personal address. I hate that! I'm trying to be more aware of the waste that goes on with paper and work on reducing that.

Hope things are going well for you.

Love, Joanna

We're very faithful recyclers and most of our light bulbs are the new green varieties...we are also switching taking our own cloth bags to the store for groceries. Trying to do our part. Thanks for the reminders.

We've been trying to come up with creative ways to get rid of all our paper mess too. So far we're doing better I think. I can't stand the mess it all makes anymore, so I'm trying to be really diligent about getting rid of it as it comes in the house, instead of letting it stack up and make a mess. Love you. Alicia
